Yesterday proved to be an extraordinarily frustrating one in the studio. I was simply trying to lay down a layer of UV coating to the paintings and it just wasn’t frickin’ working out right. NEVER had this problem before. I stripped it all and spent the good chunk of the day touching up the paint. It dawned on me earlier today that it might have something to do with SoCal’s hard water. So we’ll try tomorrow using filtered water when we lay down the coats and hope for the best. This problem has been plaguing me since Thursday… THURSDAY!! I love these paintings, but I am ready to move on before I fall behind on upcoming projects and deadlines!!
So here is a sneak peak, a detailed shot of one of these beasty 4′x4′ canvases I’m working on. This one is entitled “Make A Splash.”
